A client came in today for his regular adjustment (so he knows the drill)
I asked him to do hip extension of both legs to check the movement of his pelvis
And his legs BARELY went up
I asked “Are you trying????”
He responds, “This is not the gym so I did not think I needed to try as hard”
It got me thinking…
I have SO many examples of when I do NOT try as hard because I do not NEED to give my 100%
IF I DID…COULD THAT MEAN…
Lets think…IF I showed up 100% at…
WORK? Could I be changing more lives?
GYM? Could I lose weight, be more tone and be less sore?
HOME? Could I have a better relationships with my parents and brothers?
WHY DON’T I SHOW UP?
Well, because I make excuses.
… Got a huge exam, I’ll order PIZZA
… Long day at work, NO gym today
… I got into an argument with my significant other, now I do not NEED to talk to him
… We have not had a family vacation in a year, what’s another COUPLE of months
. I will get around to it .
. I will do it tomorrow .
. They have not asked, I am not bringing it .
. I do not like who is going to be there, I am not going .
. I can’t AFFORD it .
. It is not worth MY TIME .
